Might as well add this here for anyone who doesn’t already know this or enjoys reading things
London Locations
Las Vegas Arcade Soho
This is the oldest location still going (if only barely), used to be the center of the pump playerbase during the 2010s (also hosted the European e-amusement DDR location test in 2016!) but has definitely passed its heyday now. All Konami games are online but groove coaster isn’t, paseli used to be supported but I think they’re no longer selling top-up vouchers
Pump was the main highlight but the cabs haven’t been upgraded to pheonix (or maintain in ages), most players have moved to other locations
Funland/Vega
Upstairs location has 2 DDR white cabs, one on A20 and the other’s one A20+
Downstairs has pretty much every other bemani game (previously from Vega London before that closed). Games are connected to GAN (scores are isolated from every other european arcade, but most DDR players play here so that kind of offsets it), paseli is used and heavily recommended
FreePlayCity
Biggest location in London, has basically every game you can think of (and some you’re not allowed to). Main highlights are Dancegames (PIU, ITG, DDR and DRS) and Maimai, expect long queues. Also has wangan, initial D and a bunch of fighting games.
Babylon Park
2 PIU LX cabs running pheonix, bulk pricing makes it pretty alright value but otherwise more expensive than average, most pump players who used to play at LV moved here, no other games of note
Bandai Namco Cross Store
The only Stepmaniax cab in Central but £2 per credit, which is sadly the standard for SMX in this country
Other Locations
Playback Bristol
Lots of cool obscurities you won’t find anywhere else like pop’n stage, paraparaparadise, BM 5key and EZ2AC, the only contemporary game is pop’n music, which funny enough is the cab from LV bought from an auction after the screen died
Arcade Club
Biggest locations up north, Bury has the most players and games but has died down a bit recently, games are in hit-and-miss condition due to the large amount of casuals at the location. Leeds and especially Blackpool have less bemani games and players, but are still worth visiting if you’re in the area
Boneyard Arcade Exeter
A much smaller location you don’t see much of, but if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth checking out. Main highlight is maimai finale which has a small but dedicated playerbase
More detailed info can be found on Zenius i Vanisher
I’ll update this with more stuff later but that’s all I got for now, hopefully the US players can talk about their unique locations!
