General information
the iidx.org site is hands down the best resource for accurate information about the game and will walk you through playing from the very start, be that installing beatmania IIDX INFINITAS or dropping a credit at an arcade.
It includes thorough documentation of arcade hardware, dimensions, home controller parts, game terminology (both English and Japanese), as well as providing a broad gameplan to those looking to get better at the game. I cannot stress enough how useful a resource it is, check it out.
As you likely know Remywiki is a wiki site dedicated to Bemani in general, but remains the best English language wiki for IIDX arcade version changes, song and artist information, and much more.
This japanese language wiki contains a lot of information about the e-amusement site and version history of the arcade releases of the game that remywiki might miss. Version codes, weekly rankings, and other information can be found here though you may need the help of a machine translator.
Extras / Tools
The TexTage chart viewer is an interactive repository of every notechart from every version of the game (home console releases included) and allows for easy sharing of randoms, particular measures among other things. The viewer itself is keyboard driven and controls are laid out along the bottom.
A frequently updated spreadsheet of the current world record holders of each level 12 single play chart. Includes per player breakdowns. The current main resource for IIDX 12 WR’s after the disappearance of rekidai.info
BPI Manager tracks scores uploaded via CSV and calculates aggregate BPI across all songs that you have played. It gives you a loose rank based on your BPI, and you can add BPI rivals much like you can add rivals in game.
BPI (or beat power index) is used as a method for comparing high level scores between players on level 11s and 12s. Konami do not provide full official leaderboards for IIDX so BPI is used as a stand-in. DJ EXY has a video that explains in English the original norimiso blogpost. though the original is quite concise and to the point if you can read it, or with the aid of a machine translator.
BPI, but for clears. This site calculates the relative difficulty of a clear as an index to easier compare the difficulty of clears of different lamps between each other. As it is entirely data driven it tries to offer a less subjective approach than the 5chan IIDX tierlist twitter polls that have been the de-facto tierlist for 12’s and 11’s for some time.
Soflan guide for songs from IIDX28 BISTROVER and before written by Hethan. Provides multiple strategies for dealing with speed changes in individual songs ranked by execution difficulty (with more difficult strategies tending to be required for top level scoring/attaining full combo lamps)
